About us

From meeting at a rehearsal in a dimly lit garage to tying the knot five years later in marriage, Ian Dandridge and Kristina Westernik-Dandridge set off to spread a much-needed message of hope. Inspired by their honeymoon experience in the Californian desert, these Virginia-based artists decided to combine their love for creating and performing music, forming what they now refer to as 'The Infinite Daisy Chains'. The marriage secured their commitment to each other, and that emotion spills over into the duo's creative process.

Not all addictions are bad -- their obsession with music production offered them the tools to blend the meditative mood of downtempo electronic music with the expansive energy of psychedelic pop. With a seemingly ‘infinite’ sonic palette that sees them generate ideas from synthesizers, drum machines and an array of live instrumentation, their sound fuses indie dream pop and electronica in a way that is unique to them. This ethos reflects those artists which have shaped their sound, with Air, Warpaint, Slowdive, Phantogram, and Beach House imparting heavy influence.

Although this venture is blossoming, they are both well established and trained musicians who have been creating music for years in the DC Metropolitan area. Kristina specializes in the violin, vocals, and Ableton push, whilst Ian is the guitarist of the duo. As well as their years of experience in playing synthesizers and drum machines, they have produced and sound designed for splice.com, a leading music production platform with millions of creators.

They released their debut EP 'Wake Up/ Melting into You' in June 2020. They released 'Memory Lane' a lush, dream pop single in August 2020 and 'Moreno Beach Club' in September 2020. Their debut songs were mixed and mastered by Sam Ford, of Tone City Recordings (engineer of Jay Watson of Tame Impala and Pond). In 2021, they released their Between You and Me EP thanks to mixing support from Jake Ingalls (Spaceface, The Flaming Lips), Omar Yakar Jr. (Engineer for Warpaint, Local Natives, The War on Drugs) and mastering from Mike Fridmann (KWKA, The Flaming Lips).

Following these releases, The Infinite Daisy Chains have performed regionally along the United States east coast supporting the likes of prominent indie artists such as: Vinyl Williams, Boogarins, Cathedral BellsModern Nomad, and others. In the Spring of 2023, they released a remix of Spaceface - "Earth in Awe" on Montreal-based indie label, Mothland. This remix aired on KCRW 89.9 FM, NPR's largest affiliate radio station out of Los Angeles, CA. Following the buzz from the remix they released a single, "Better Off," in October 2023. This groovy, indie rock single with a contemplative message and all the feels was featured on a compilation vinyl record, Vinyl Moon Vol. 105: Adventure Story in Summer 2024.

In October 2024, The Infinite Daisy Chains released a single collaboration "Little Odessa" with Eric Hilton of Thievery Corporation. This single is gaining traction by spinning on radio stations across the globe including notably: BBC Radio and KCRW 89.9 FM.

Collectively, their goal is to create a catalog of music that stands the test of time, and above all -- genuinely inspires the listeners it reaches. The Infinite Daisy Chains hope that their reverb-drenched productions serve as a salute to the music that brought the two of them together in the first place.
